Sleep was good. Mmmmm… Wasn’t even perturbed by having to share it with Will. This morning’s venture was Singapore Zoo – breakfasting with Orang Utangs, followed by a leisurely tour and whatever took our fancy. Our fantastic hosts, Matt and Delph, had arranged for us to eat curry, noodles, Kimchee and fruit, whilst watching Orang [...]

Ou record run to the airport was somewhat called to a halt by the Australian family in the queue who refused to accept that ‘Internet Check-in’ was for people who had already checked in on the internet. Just to add insult to injury, they were carrying double the accepted luggage limit. I hope they were [...]

There’s a palpable level of excitement in the house, as the Christmas Tree has now been taken outside, the bags are packed and waiting by the door and Yos, the school bear, now has a passport and photo. No smiling, of course. Ant has been fantastic, coping with my obtuse packing methods, my absolute ignorance [...]

22.48 on Friday evening. All suitcases packed. Have checked in (online, of course) and already know which movies I’m going to watch. See you in Singapore…

2 days to go…

It’s 23.39, I’m quite pissed and haven’t started to pack yet. But I have arranged for a lift to the airport, so all is well.

Revisiting the journey

Many thanks for your comments. All 2 of them. All thanks to the NZ Tourist Board map, a fantastic interactive flash [...]

Again more ramblings this week as we continue the hunt for some interesting content. One golden oldie, the rest will appeal to some, but not all of you. Enjoy. A Adobe FlashOn (http://www.adobe.com/flashon/)One for our creative teams, really. As the boundary between content delivered over the web and content delivered via other channels blurs, we [...]

So, here it is

14 days to go to Christmas; 18 days until we leave. And now I start the proper research. The challenge is this: how to create a trip that is enjoyable, educational and meets the needs of a 6 year old boy, a 34 year old man, and family? An interesting quandary indeed. So here are some of [...]

Friday thoughts

7, Dec 2007

No real theme this week, other than these are things that have caught my eye recently. Some are sites. Some are ideas. And some are applications. Incoherent, but just go with it… Many thanks to Springwise, the IAB, the FWA and Trendspotting for their inspiration. Type Flash (http://www.typeflash.com/)Does what it says on the tin, really. [...]

We’ve hijacked Andy’s Friday email in order to spread the Web 2.0 love. Whilst it’s an oft-used buzzword its definition is somewhat abstract (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2), so here we present four sites that highlight different aspects of what Web 2.0 means. http://www.webdesignerwall.com/ – first up is a lovely looking blog, chosen because blogs represent one of the [...]
